Grandma D's Evergreen Wreath + Contest!

Last week, I received my Oregon Evergreen Wreath in the mail. When I opened my box, it instantly felt like Christmas. We do not use a real tree, so it was such a treat to have a real wreath!

Grandma D's Tree and Wreath Farm is located in Silverton, Oregan and have recently expanded their business to Arizona and Idaho and is run by 5th generation family owners.

The wreath is just gorgeous. Very full, well made. My daughter just loved the pinecones and the big red velvet bow. You can tell this was made with care. It was so lush in fact, it wouldn't fit on our door :) This ended up working out well though because we hung it on our garage. We have already received compliments from neighbors, and even my Grandma noticed it when she pulled up on Thanksgiving.

Want one of these beauties for yourself? Grandma D's is offering my readers free shipping on orders in the US. Just use coupon code W0834.

Wouldn't this make a great Christmas present as well. Send an early Christmas present to one of your loved ones today!

As an extra bonus, if you leave a comment on this post, one commenter from all the blogs participating in this blog tour will receive a gift bag full of goodies. So, do you have a wreath up? What is your favorite Christmas decoration?

PS. The blogger with most comments within 7 days of their post will win a prize. Help me win that prize & comment :) Everyone who comments here will be entered to win a $10 gift card of their choice from me :) If you win, it can be for you or as a gift. I will even send it with a card if it is a gift (Secret Santa maybe)

Giveaway ~ Norton PC Tune-up Service

Norton by Symantec has created one elegant solution. Norton Premium Services allows Norton experts to connect with you one-on-one, listen to the problems your encountering, and then directly access your computer via the Internet so they can run diagnostic tests and fix the problems while you sit back and watch. In addition to making your PC run like new, they can also help with killing viruses, eliminating spyware, and installing Norton software, just to name a few.

The PC Tune-up Service is best for computers that are running slow with multiple programs open, or if it is slow when starting up. The experts will do a full scan to evaluate issues affecting performance, fine-tune key areas to improve speed and stability, assess and ensure comprehensive protection and security, and recommend steps to ensure top performance.

The Norton PC Tune-up Service is easy to use. All you do is call Norton, allow your expert agent to connect to your computer over the internet, and then the expert agent will begin to service your computer.

No more taking your computer or laptop to a store to get fixed, now you can do it over the internet without ever leaving your home. Just plan on having an hour or so on the phone while the tech looks into your computer.

Thanks to Mom Central and Norton I have 3 PC Tune-up Service Trials to giveaway.

Review ~ Canasta - Hand & Foot card game

I had the opportunity to try the new Hand and Foot Canasta from Marina Games thanks to the Family Review Network recently. I've never played any version of Canasta, so was excited to add a new game to our family time.

Canasta is a card game that is similar to, but more complex, than Rummy. In a Canasta game, players use matching cards to form melds and then play combinations of wild and matching cards to empty their hands and go out. This card game likely originated somewhere in South America before making its way to North America where it became very popular in the 1950s.

The difference in this version from other forms of Canasta are that with this game, the players are each dealt two stacks of cards – the ‘hand’ and the ‘foot’. Players can’t draw and play cards from their ‘foot’ stacks until all of the cards in their hands have been used.

The goal in Canasta Hand & Foot is to build rows and books of cards between partners. Cards have assigned values, and there are wild cards as well. Teams must create two ‘clean’ (no wilds) and two ‘dirty’ (contain at least one wild card) piles to go out.

After playing a few test rounds, we really got into the game. My 11 year old daughter is even able to play (the game is 8+) The instructions are a bit confusing, but once you play a game or two it gets easier.

With Canasta Hand & Foot retailing for $9.99 it is a great addition to family game nights, holidays & parties. Also makes a great gift, think stocking stuffers!

Book Review ~ Knit Two (Knitting Club)

I was sent a copy of the brand new book, Knit Two by Kate Jacobs thanks to Mom Central. I was really excited to read this book. Knitting clubs are so similar to scrapbook crops, I knew I could get into this book about friendship. Knit Two was released today, November 25th. It is the sequel to The Friday Night Knitting Club.

Knit Two, takes place 5 years later. This time, 18-year-old Dakota runs her mother’s knitting store part-time with the help of the knitting club. With a focus on the challenges, joys, and friendships of these characters, this book is a powerful read for any woman. Although those who read the first book will be especially captivated by the continuation, even new readers will find countless things to love. Few novels these days are a must read, but, for any woman who understands the power of friendship, this should be one of them.

I loved this book so much, I went to the library to get A Friday Night Knitting Club! It is a quick read that makes you feel good as a Woman! Any of Kate Jacobs books would make great Christmas presents for the reader in your life. They all have gorgeous black covers, that look so nice on your bookshelf :)

Here are all of Kate Jacobs books ~

Review & Giveaway ~ Jules Jewelry

When I came across Jules Jewelry online, I knew I found a winner. I love being a mom, and I love personalized jewelry. The custom made Heart Dangle is such a a beautiful way of wearing your family.

Julie runs some fantastic shops. You can find her ~

http://www.LittleGirlsPearls.com/ ~ Start a family tradition ~ Keepsake Pearls
http://www.JulesJewelry.com/ ~ Whimsical jewelry with a heart
http://www.gerrysartsywoodstuff.com/ ~ Handcrafted wood gifts with a story
http://www.WhimsyKisses.com ~ Artisan Crafted Gifts & Vintage Nifties

Julie was kind enough to send me a great little box of beautiful goodies. I was sent a custom Dangle heart necklace, a baby first pearl bracelet and a fun Vintage Button ring.

Everything came packaged in beautiful ivory organza bags. Full directions on care of all the jewelry pieces.

The Heart Dangle necklace is stunning. It is on a fine silver chain. I was a bit worried about that, but it is very sturdy, and wow does it sparkle! I love the beads that represent my husband, mine and my two daughters birthstones. It is elegant looking, but still represents my family.

The pearl bracelet for baby is the cutest thing I have ever seen. It is so tiny, just precious. I love that it has a sterling silver extension on it, so it can be worn for years. When your daughter outgrows it, you can tuck it away for her wedding day. What a fun idea. You can even buy a matching mommy bracelet.

If you are into fun and funky jewelry, you will love the vintage button ring. It is adorable. Both my girls are trying to fight me over it, lol.

Between all of Julie's shops you are sure to find gifts for everyone in your family. The prices are great as well. You are getting handcrafted goodness, that is well made.

Winner is Melanie from Whimsical Creations, Congrats!

Giveaway ~ Julie has offered to give one of my readers their very own Heart Dangle Necklace.

To enter, just visit Julie's shops, come back here and tell me some of your favorite items. Your entry will not count, if you don't name at least one item.
